Seventies type, distressed textures, sunsets and stripes and the kind of lettering that was on a lunchbox once. Retro is the safest bet in the catalogue for a customer who “doesn’t know what they want” — it’s familiar, and it looks right on a heather tee.
Two things to know. The distressed ones are meant to look worn: those gaps in the ink are in the file, not a print fault. And the bright-orange, mustard, teal palettes in this collection are exactly the colours that shift most from screen to shirt — a shade duller in person. If a customer is particular about a colour, a 3-inch sample settles it for a couple of dollars.
Best at 10 to 12 inches on an adult front. They were designed for a big canvas.
